Privacy Policy

PriceSage ("we", "us") helps you keep track of gifts for the people you shop for and alerts you when prices drop. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information you give us
- Account: your email address and password (passwords are stored hashed by our authentication provider; we never see them).
- People you shop for: what you enter about them — a first name or nickname, relationship, birth year, interests, notes, budget, and dates such as birthdays and holidays.
- Watches, wish lists, and feedback: products you watch, alert prices you set, items marked as bought, and gift suggestions you mark "already has it" or "not a fit".
Information collected automatically
- Push notification token, if you allow notifications, so we can send price and reminder alerts to your device.
- Basic technical logs (such as request times and errors) to keep the service running and secure.
We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell or rent your personal information.
How we use information
- To show your lists, check prices on products you watch, and send the alerts and reminders you've asked for.
- To suggest gift ideas. To do this, we send the details of the person you're shopping for (such as first name, approximate age, interests, and budget) to our AI provider to generate suggestions, and send product search terms to retailers to find matching items.
- To keep the service secure and fix problems.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of providers who process data on our behalf, only to run PriceSage:
- Supabase — account sign-in and database
- Anthropic — AI-generated gift suggestions
- Google Firebase — push notifications
- Cloud hosting providers (such as Amazon Web Services and Cloudflare) — running our servers and this website
- Retailers and their product APIs (such as Walmart, Best Buy, and eBay) — product search and prices. These requests contain search terms and product IDs, not your personal information.
Affiliate links
When you tap a link to buy a product, it may include an affiliate code so PriceSage earns a commission from the retailer, at no extra cost to you. Once you're on a retailer's site, that retailer's own privacy policy applies, and the retailer or affiliate network may use cookies to credit the purchase.
Children
PriceSage accounts are for adults. Adults may choose to hand their device to a child in guest shopper mode, which lets the child pick items for a wish list under the adult's account and within limits the adult sets. We don't ask children for personal information or let them create accounts; the details about a child in PriceSage are what the adult chooses to enter.
Your choices
- Edit or remove any person, watch, or list in the app at any time.
- Turn off notifications in your device settings.
- To delete your account and all associated data, email hello@pricesage.app from the address on your account.
Security and retention
Data is sent over encrypted connections and stored with our providers. We keep your information while your account is active and delete it when you ask us to delete your account, except where we need to keep limited records to meet legal obligations.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date above and let you know in the app.
